Honouring the dead is something that the Vietnamese people do very well and when the person who passes away comes from a wealthy background it also becomes a chance to send that person off in a manner befitting that wealth.

imageThe lady from the jewelery shop at the corner of our hem passed away Friday and from Saturday morning until her coffin was taken from the shop early Wednesday morning out hem was full of mourners and the sound of some type of music was continuous. I’ve mentioned previously that 3 trucks were needed to take away the floral tributes and I was fortunate enough to be able to capture some images of the coffin being removed from the shop and onto the funeral carriage.
