I’ve been sitting on this bit of news for a few weeks now, but I just read an e-mail from Amber who tells me that I can announce freely that we (Lisa and I) are due to become grandparents around 25-28 June next year!! Yee hah, now I won’t need to simulate with other people’s grandkids, I’ll have a real one of my own. How cool is that??

At the moment JB (short for Jelly Bean) is a mere 2.7cms in length and only 10 weeks conceived today and all is looking good.

What more can I say except that this is such good news and I am so happy for Brendan & Amber. However, you guys have always been telling us that we will fulfill the roles of permanent baby sitters one day and I just need to remind you that we will spoil our grandchild rotten, fill him/her with candy and sugar and hand him/her back the minute there is a nappy to change or a tantrum to deal with, so be warned
