weezBlog: Slow poison

Posted 10/08/2003 under personal blogs

How do any of us feel about revealing something that is deep and meaningful in a way that the rest of the world (well…those who visit our weblogs anyway) can read.
Very interesting post to weezBlog and the discussion following it is even more revealing.

logbriefer for piet’s netperusals

Posted 26/04/2003 under personal blogs

Interesting interface to piet’s weblog, the intro goes like this;

“Welcome to piet’s interkinkindlin’ netkit tittilations—on the net, everybody is a series of zeros and ones; win some, lose some.
I for one, try teach the world how to help strengthen the grip of the grippy, indymedia (p)referer and participant with axe to blunt, rocks to grind, buds to nip and shoots to weave. Prophet of perma-pleaching.
You are impersonapiet,perfectpasser, pixelprofligate, polyprimandroid piet’s honoured, revered, respected and very welcome gguueesstt - iow, you are here:

The dullest blog in the world

Posted 05/04/2003 under personal blogs

ah… what a classic site!! This site is so dull that it makes great reading. I get the distinct impression that there is just a touch of satire/irony involved here somewhere.

Here are some examples of recent entries…..

Leaving some things lying around April 4
I noticed that there were a few things lying around here and there. I decided to leave them where they were.

Operating a light switch March 30
I entered the living room and pressed the light switch, thus turning the light on so that I could see what I was doing. A while later I left the room and pressed the light switch again. The light turned itself off.

Scratching my chin March 24
As I was sitting down I began to notice that my chin was itching slightly. I waited a few seconds and became aware that my chin was continuing to itch. I then scratched my chin which alleviated the itching.

Riveting stuff and the comments are equally as revealing!!

spokenword.blog-city.com -

spokenWORD is the audio blog of Komninos Zervos. This is well worth a listen and a read.

spokenWORD

Komninos’s blog consists of audio files constructed using Macromedia Flash, is simple to use and the sound clarity is great. Most pieces are accompanied by a text describing the thoughts and processes that occured during the time that the poem was written.

Joi Ito’s Web

Posted 10/01/2003 under personal blogs

Joichi Ito has written a thought provoking article entitled “The future of moblogging and open standards “. Here is the first paragraph;

“I think we’re at a very exciting point in the history of the future. Dave wrote a great essay to kick of the year just as I was trying to collect my thoughts. Let me also be a bit optimistic for a moment and share with you what I WISH will happen. Consumer electronics and mobile devices are where computer networking was before TCP/IP. Nothing talks to anything else and everything is vertically integrated and “intelligently” organized. TCP/IP changed that for telecom/computer networks. We all know the story.”

The Homeless Guy

Posted 05/01/2003 under personal blogs

The Homeless Guy is the weblog of a 40 something year old homeless writer who evidentially first became homeless in 1982, then aged 21. It appears as if the homeless guy’s name is Kevin and this blog is an excellent manual for any one out there considering a life with no fixed place of abode.

Also, this site is an entry in the ‘Best Concept Blog’ section of the ‘2003 BlogBoard Awards’
